Meet Rocky the Artist!

(FYI  NOT a criminal)

Raquel "Rocky" Digati is an artist, writer and musician who hails originally from Bristol, Rhode Island. She has loved bones, skulls, bones and all things odd and grim since she was a kid walking around in the historic cemeteries of New England.

Her dad ( and her sister, uncle and cousin) all were/are artists and art teachers. She's the black sheep of the family... as she works in the medical IT field by day, is an artist and writer by night, and a ( sometime) rock star singing and playing music on the weekends.

She  lives in a spooky old Victorian home in  rural, South NJ.

She thanks you for stopping by... and hopes you find  bones, her work, and the world around us to be as curious odd, and beautiful as she does.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where do you get the bones? - They are retired medical specimens - legally and ethically sourced.  No humans or spiritually hallowed grounds were harmed or violated in the sourcing of the bones, and no laws of man or nature were broken to get the bones.

  • Is this legal? - In a word; ABSOLUTELY. It is not illegal to own, sell or trade in ethically obtained human remains  in most of the world and in 49 of the 50 US states. Nothing sold on this site is illegally obtained or shipped to restricted areas and we fully comply with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.

  • Why can't you ship to GA, TN or LA? - Currently  GA  and TN  have laws on the books that prohibit the shipping of human remains into or out of their states, in  Louisiana it's (the only US state) where it is illegal to sell or posses human bones.  If you live in one of these states- we cannot ship human bones to you.  All  other states, US territories and most foreign countries do not prohibit shipment ( YES! We ship Internationally!). Please click the email link at the bottom of the page if you aren't sure  if you live in a restricted area or if you have questions!

  • Do you "cleanse" the bones?- No. I do not perform any type of ritualistic/spiritual "cleansing" per se. The bones are buffed and filed in areas to smooth out edges for the creation of art. I feel that if one is worried about any negative energy attached to the bones from the life of the previous owner- it must certainly be wiped out by the infusion of positive art energy during the artistic process.  Also, bones are naturally porous- they absorb your skin oils, so the  longer you wear them the more they develop a patina that is uniquely you. If you're not negative- then neither is your bone- this last part is all up to you.

  •  I have more questions!- Great! Please feel free to click the email link below and I'll be happy to answer!
